Raj Kundra, who is currently in jail for his alleged connection in pornography-related case, has another trouble mounting for him. He has now been reportedly accused of sexual assault by Sherlyn Chopra.
On July 19, Raj Kundra was detained for his alleged involvement in a pornography-related matter. He’s been charged with making and distributing adult content across many platforms, according to reports.
His detention was prolonged for another 14 days, and an inquiry is underway.
Shilpa Shetty, his wife, and an actress, has also been questioned in this case. Raj Kundra is now dealing with another problem. Sherlyn Chopra, who is said to have testified in this case, has now accused him of sexual assault.
Sherlyn Chopra, according to Etimes, filed a sexual misconduct complaint against Raj Kundra in April 2019. According to reports, he approached her management with the notion of creating ‘The Sherlyn Chopra App,’ claiming that she could monetize the stuff she shares on social media.
Raj Kundra allegedly came up to her house unannounced after their meeting on March 27, 2019, after they had a disagreement over text, according to her.
According to the complaint, Sherlyn alleged that Raj Kundra began ‘kissing’ her despite her resistance.’ Raj reportedly informed her that his relationship with Shilpa Shetty was ‘difficult’ and that he was always stressed’ while he was at home.
Sherlyn Chopra allegedly said that she was scared’ and managed to push Raj Kundra and go to the bathroom. Sherlyn Chopra filed a FIR against Raj Kundra in April of this year.
He was then charged with violating section 376 of the Indian Penal Code in conjunction with sections 384, 415, 420, 504 and 506, 354 (a) (b) (d), 509 of the Indian Penal Code, 67, 67 (A) of the Information Technology Act 2008, and sec 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women Act 1986.
Shilpa Shetty has also been questioned in connection with the suspected pornography case. According to accounts, she also got into a big fight with Raj after he was escorted Home by the Crime Branch during a raid. Shilpa allegedly asked Raj why he was getting involved in all of this and how his actions were tarnishing the family’s image.
